Hola! My journey started in the Cuban army as a radio station chief. Once discharged I chose to Major in Telecommunications & Electronics Engineering at University City José Antonio Echeverría (CUJAE) while working as a Radio Technician. In 1998 I moved to the USA, started as an independent contractor repairing electrical equipment for the many Hotels we have in Las Vegas Nevada, consumer and hospitality commercial grade. My incursion into automation started at Paragon Technologies, leading a team in the design, development and implementation of industrial electronic solutions as well as the troubleshooting of complex systems. Moved to work for Elite Line Services (Daifuku), a maintenance solution provider for Amazon as their Controls System Lead where I led a controls team in the successful launch of LAS7, a fully automated robotic sorting facility for Amazon. I’m happy to inform that I am currently working for Georgia Pacific as a Sr. Process Control Engineer, having a blast building a new state-of-the-art facility in Sweetwater Texas spearheading the development and integration of advanced automation systems to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
